FEBRUARY NEWS
Greens Report
All Greens and Tee Boxes have been verti drained and sprayed, surrounds and walk off areas have also been verti drained.
The repairs to the drainage at the back of the 12th green are now complete.
New Stop Cocks have been fitted on holes 5, 12 and 15.
The 7th Tee Box and areas adjacent to the 3rd and 6th greens remain extremely wet. The open drain has been filled with stones and work will commence soon on drainage adjacent to the 3rd green and left of the 3rd fairway.
The new 13th Tee box and banks has been completed and graded out but due to the heavy rain not all of the top soiling has been completed. Work will recommence, weather permitting, in early March. We are concentrating on getting the playing areas ready for the new season which starts in some 5 weeks.
Significant roping off areas are still required to protect/limit further damage.
A full winter machinery and course programme is on-going and every effort is being made to keep the course open.
Entertainment
The Quiz nights continue the next being the 23rd February, and the Michael Buble night on the 28th April is selling well so get your tickets while they are still available.
Competitions
For the start of the season the General Manager will endeavour to have the computer adjusted to show members their position in the competition as soon as they have enter their score.

JANUARY NEWS
Our General Manager is actively pursuing our application with the Carbon Trust which will reduce our energy costs in the future.
Course News
Where possible greens have been verti drained or slit tined, they will also be sprayed for leather jackets.
Repairs to the drainage on the 12th green will start this month and the work at the 7th tee box, adjacent to the 3rd and 6th greens, will commence hopefully within the next two weeks depending on weather conditions. The drainage at the front of the 13th tee box is continuing and will hopefully greatly improve the drainage in this area.
Our past captain, Jimmy Kelly, made a significant contribution to the cost of this work and this is much appreciated by the members.
